Submitted by Kevin on 08/09/2009 – 5:10 PMNo Comment

We are pleased to announce No.1 chart topper Calvin Harris for this years Liverpool Music Week. The self proclaimed reinventor of disco will be performing at The Liverpool 02 academy on Tuesday 10th November, tickets go on sale from Ticketline at 9am Thursday 10th September. This will be the Scotsmans 2nd visit back to the city this year following his main stage performance at this years sell out Creamfields festival which saw him join fellow collaborator Dizzee Rascal on stage to perform their track ‘Holiday’ which hit the No.1 spot last weekend.

Calvin’s 80s infused dance tunes have captured the attention of dance heads across the UK over the last few years with tracks ranging from ‘Girls’ and ‘Acceptable In The 80’s’ both of which landed themselves in the Top 10 and he has been the highlight of many festival line ups in 2009.

Calvin Harris is the latest act added to this years ever growing all star line up, other acts include Kasabian, The Specials, The Enemy, Reverend & The Makers & Seasick Steve.

We will also be announcing the free festival shows in the up and coming weeks that take place across dozens of Liverpool’s city-centre venues and are the heart beat of the festival.

More acts announced for Liverpool Music Week in the coming weeks.
